An image of a rugged-looking man with a bow. He says "I was orphaned as a child and raised by wolvVergouwene two adventurers look upon him from behind, one saying "wow". There's another image showing his childhood. He's indoors with an 1950s-American-style father wolf wearing a sweater and smoking a pipe and reading the newspaper, and 1950s-American-style mother wolf with a dress, lipstick, and teaset. There's a framed family photo of him and the wolf parents on the wall. The child says “Dad, I want to be a ranger!” while the father wolf says “Son, you will go to law school!” In the corner is attribution to the artist Niels Vergouwen, and links to his online presences: Instagram.com/couldbeworsecomic and Facebook.com/couldbeworsecomic

Community iconc/games@lemmy.world by

The existing Switch 2 had region locking in the sense of making two versions (the Japanese one is mainly language locked, meaning you can’t change it to ENG plus the region settings are fixed to JPN) however from that, foreign cartidges can be read with the language changed to Japanese (if supported) since most games detect console language except if the game itself has settings within it to revert or swap langauges.

Community iconc/meanwhileongrad@sh.itjust.works by

Whelp. So I actually had the most interesting discussion I've had on ML. Generally, I ignore the nasty comments there and only respond to those who are actually trying to have a somewhat decent discussion. They're few and far between, but they exist. Which ended up happening - I had an extended discussion with Cowbee on what a dictatorship is and what democracy is. While IMO there were pretty huge gaps in his arguments, I have to respect that he actually engaged in the discussion without the usual name-calling, putdowns and insults I'm used to on that corner of the fediverse (yes, it's a low bar, but credit where credit is due). And I'll be honest, it was a fascinating window into the world view of people who think like that. Call me crazy, but I actually learned something.

No other device in my network has the same issue. I’ve been bugfixing for over an hour and haven’t found a solution. setting the DNS manually, resetting the network adapter, flushed all DNS entries (I used the commandline tool on Windows!). nothing works.

photograph showing a large grassy field with flowers and straws all over, held together by hills all aroud, covered with pine trees. a fence strikes under the center of the photo, behind which there are two cabins, spaced out from one another. the photo was taken in the Austrian alps. text over the image says "you. me. and a trail that leads somewhere". there is some hard notive text over the fence "maybe there will be Kaiserschmarrn. who knows?". Kaiserschmarrn is an Austrian dish which is like pancakes, but softer, lighter, fluffier and served in a pan and cut up into chunks and served with powdered sugar and usually some kind of fruit sauce. bottom right says "by maria on Lemmy, made with Krita", burried in the grass.

maybe we rule. maybe we don’t. i hope you have someone to rule with, that you don’t want someone to rule with or that you find someone to rule with soon. same goes for me.
